Kathy and Brandon Swain of Minden announce the engagement of their daughter Samantha Flower of Reno to Ron Eckroat, also of Reno. Ron is the son of Warren and Barbara Eckroat of Reno.
The wedding is planned for July 4, 2008, at the D'Andrea Golf Club in Sparks.
The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Douglas High School in Minden and is in her final semester of Truckee Meadows Community College. She is studying to be a dental hygenist.
The future groom is a 1986 graduate of McQueen High School in Reno and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1996. He has a career as an appraiser.
