Student's art featured at Nevada Museum of Art

A Carson Valley Middle School student had three pieces of art featured in the Scholastic Art Award Show in the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno.

Ninth-grade student Allison Henie was part of the 800-work show of art from middle and high school students from Nevada held at the museum through the beginning of April.

Allison's colored pencil drawing of an owl and two other brightly colored works were selected by her art teacher, Caro Medeghini.

"Allison has taken art for three years here and she has just blossomed," said Medeghini. "With true passion and interest students can do anything."
