Douglas County Public Library is hosting a Teen Poetry Café on April 21 at 6 p.m. in celebration of National Library Week. All sixth through 12th graders are invited to read an original poem or read a favorite poem by another author.
This is a casual open mic night for teens at the library. Acoustic guitar players are welcome. Prizes will be awarded for best original poem and best read poem. Coffee, hot chocolate, and muffins will be served.
This event is sponsored by the Teen Advisory Board and the Friends of the Library. The Douglas County Public Library is located at 1625 Library Lane in Minden. For more information call the library at 782-9841.
