$250 reward offered in two graffiti cases

Douglas County Secret Witness is offering a $250 reward for information on two graffiti reports from Rancho Aspen Park.

The first incident occurred over the Christmas break; the second occurrence was April 2.

In both cases, the suspect used the moniker "Exist" or "Anex" and made reference to Stockton and area code 209.

Cash rewards are available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Total anonymity is assured and payment will be made in any manner the caller prefers.

-- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office reported 50 contacts for domestic violence March 21-April 3.

There were 28 verbal domestics including 11 arrests for domestic battery, one verbal domestic arrest on an outstanding warrant, one arrest for stalking and harassment, six referrals to the district attorney for review or prosecution, three referrals for a temporary protection order violation, two unfounded reports, and one report for a domestic battery witness who had fled the scene.

Twenty juveniles witnessed domestic violence during the time period including two arrests for domestic battery and two juveniles involved in domestic contacts.

The Family Support Council submitted eight requests to East Fork Justice Court for temporary restraining orders with five approvals, two denials and one pending.

Five anti-stalking and harassment orders were approved.

Connie Richardson, sheriff's office domestic violence prevention coordinator, said the average range for domestic violence contacts is between 12-14 per week for this time of year.

The average range for children witnessing domestic violence is 0-2 per week.
