Vera E. Price


1914-2007


An inurnment service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Eastside Memorial Park for Vera E. Price, 92, who died March 24, 2007, at Riverview Manor, Gardnerville Ranchos.


Mrs. Price was born Sept. 10, 1914, in Salt Lake City, Utah to George T. and Rhoda Ensign. She married Nolan Price, 1935, in San Francisco. A resident of Gardnerville for 10 years, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.


She is survived by her sons Richard and Ronald Price of Gardnerville; grandson Brandon J. Price; sisters Virginia Christiansen and Ruth Everett.


Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.




Angelo Sciascia


1929-2007


There will be a celebration of life, noon Saturday at the Topaz Lake Volunteer Fire Department for Angelo Sciascia, 77, a 10-year resident of Topaz Lake, who died March 29, 2007, at Renown Medical Center in Reno as a result of injuries received from a March 25 car accident near Lone Pine, Calif. on Highway 395.


Mr. Sciascia was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Astoria, N.Y., to Stefano and Antonina Sciascia. He served in the U.S. Navy and spent his working career as an aerospace engineer.


Mr. Sciascia was an active member of the Topaz Lake Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years and a member of the Elks for 25 years.


He liked the simple pleasures, reading his paper every morning while drinking coffee and working crossword puzzles and sudoko puzzles.


He re-connected with shipmates from USS Frank Knox and attended their reunions for the past 10 years.


He once owned race horses and loved to watch the races. He spent his younger days skiing any trail he could find.


He was preceded in death by his brothers Frank and Mario Sciascia as well as his parents.


He is survived by his daughters Rosanne Coburn and her husband Tom, daughter Brenda Sciascia all of Salt Lake City, Utah, son Rick Sciascia of Oahu, Hawaii; grandson Brian and his wife Tristin; great-grandchildren Zurielle, Zeffery and Mazzy. He is also survived by his sisters Nina of Palm Harbor, Fla., Florence of Totowa, N.J., Mary and her husband Dan of San Pedro, Calif., Anna and her husband Fred of Astoria, N.Y., Laura and her husband George of East Meadow, N.Y., and ex-wife Rose Frontado of Torrance, Calif.


Cremation will take place through the Neptune Society in Reno.

Justin Amandus Stegemann


1990-2007


A celebration of life for Justin Amandus Stegemann, 17, of Avon, Ind., will be 3:30 p.m. April 10, 2007 at the Avon United Methodist Church, 6850 East U.S. 36, Avon, Ind. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel.


Justin was born Jan. 11, 1990 in Orange, Calif., to David and Wendy (Masiello) Stegemann. He was a student at Avon High School, accomplished pilot in training, rock star, played bass and piano. He was very involved in football, wrestling, soccer, golf and in racing as a driver and crewman. He was also an accomplished poet with a publication due to be released in the spring. His passion for life touched everyone he met.


He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Masiello. He is survived by his parents, his sister Alicia Jean Stegemann; grandparents Ann and Arthur Stegemann and John Masiello; aunts Dianna Klarich, Judy Stegemann, Ellen Stegemann, Anne Marie Stegemann, Denise Yaugher; uncles Bob Stegemann and his wife Karen, Peter Stegemann and his wife Raeanne and Jerry Yaugher; great uncle and aunt Charlie and Bertha Stegemann; cousins Meghan, Nick, Matt, Stephanie, Katie, Chloe, Ashley, Sarah and Emily. Arrangements are in the care of Conkle Funeral Home in Avon, Ind.
