Best of Carson Valley announced

After sifting through hundreds of ballots with more than 90 categories, The Record-Courier had determined the mountains have retaken the crown from the people as Valley residents' favorite thing about living here in The Best of Carson Valley 2006.

One thing that hasn't changed is the support for Carson Valley Days and the Active 20-30 Club, which were named the top event and the top service club in the carson Valley.

Minden Elementary School Teacher Janell Sheets was named favorite teacher while Deputy Brian Sanchez was named the Valley's favorite law enforcement officer.

Jaquie Manoukian was named the Valley's favorite volunteer.

Douglas High School Tigers football coach Mike Rippee was named the Valley's favorite coach.
