The Douglas County Public Library invites everyone to the grand opening celebration of the new Children's Resource Center on March 17. Join library staff at the Minden Library from 4-6 p.m. to meet the members of the library board of trustees and library foundation. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
The renovation of the Children's Resource Center began in June 2005 and was completed in October. The project included new shelving and bin storage, service desk, homework center and a storytime room. The organization of materials leads children and parents logically through the collection. Print, electronic, video and audio materials are available to support literacy development in children's academic and extra-curricular activities.
