Safety education can be fun at Northwest

Northwest Martial Arts will host a free Community Safety N.E.T. (No Easy Target) presentation 10:30-11:30 a.m. July 22 at the Northwest Martial Arts Gym, 1321 Highway 395 (next to the Rite-Aid) in Gardnerville.

Safety N.E.T. is a program specially designed to keep children safe at home and in the public.

It is a short interactive presentation geared toward children ages 4 and older. They will learn stranger awareness, home safety, how to use a password and many other important safety tips for a fun, exciting and educational time.

"The kids come, we watch a video, they learn how to say no to a stranger and we play games," said instructor Brandi Gibson.
