Roger and Sheryl Harker of Minden are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Harker to Roby Safford of Minden, son of Steve and Maggie Safford of Clover Valley. The wedding date has been set for Sept. 16 in Minden Park.
The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Douglas High School and a 2001 graduate of Duke University in Durham, N. C. She is currently employed as a financial products specialist for Wells Fargo in Reno.
The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Wells High School in Wells and a 2002 graduate of Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue Academy in Reno. He is currently employed by East Fork Fire and Paramedic Districts in Minden as a firefighter/EMT.
The couple plans to make their home together in Reno after the wedding.
