The Town and Country Homemakers Club is over 50 years old. The members will be celebrating with a birthday luncheon at Francisco's Mexican Restaurant in Minden on Wednesday at noon.
Any ladies new in the area who would like to meet new people and get to know the community better are welcome to join the group at the luncheon.
The club gives a scholarship to a Douglas High graduating senior each year. Applications are due in March. The scholarship is presented at a spring luncheon held with the Topaz Sage Hens in May.
