Good retires from Eldorado Savings

Today is Edith Good's last day as branch manager at Eldorado Savings Bank in Gardnerville.

Good has been at this bank for 16 years, although she said she worked in banking for many years. She gives her age as "old enough to retire" and has lived in Carson City for 31 years.

Good said she's interested in traveling through the southern states during her retirement with her husband James and 95-year-old mother, Alice Beck.

"I plan to enjoy my family and travel within the U.S.," Good said. "I plan on doing exactly what I want to do when I want to do it."

As a branch manager, it is Good's job to supervise everything in the bank.

"I make sure it runs smoothly. We make loans and open lots of new accounts. My job is to take care of the needs of customers and employees," said Good. "I have to make sure everything balances."

Good said she hopes to be remembered as someone who gave personal attention in her job as manager of the bank.

"I'm grateful to work for Eldorado Savings Bank and to have known all my wonderful customers," she said. "I hope I brought good friendly customer service because, if you give good service, you get good customers and you keep them."
