A 20-year-old Spring Valley resident was not hurt when her vehicle hit a patch of ice on Highway 395 near Bodie Flats.
Rebecca Baumruck was northbound on Highway 395 on her way to work, when she lost control of her Kia, a mile above Ray May Way and Pine View Estates at approximately 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.
"It was getting real scary," she said. "I was seeing so many other cars slide and almost lose it because they were trying to stop fast to make sure I was all right or just trying to see what was going on. It's nice to live in a place like this though, where so many people show care and concern."
