The Carson Valley Inn is celebrating New Year's Eve with Shake, Rattle & Roll in the Cabaret Lounge and regular menu service plus year-end specials in all three restaurants: Michael's at the Inn, Fiona's Bar and Grill and Katie's Country Kitchen.
Shake, Rattle & Roll appears nightly through Jan. 7, with one day off on Jan. 2, with no cover and no minimum. The group performs re-creations of classic rock 'n' roll tunes of the '50s, '60s and '70s. Reminisce to favorite oldies in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m., with later sets on New Year's Eve.
New Year's Eve dinner in Michael's at the Inn will be served from 5-9:30 p.m. In addition to the regular dinner menu, specials include smoked buffalo prime rib with natural pan gravy, mashed sweet potatoes with herbs and fresh root vegetables ($36); twin bacon wrapped filet mignons with sauce foyot, scallion mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables ($28); and seared black bass with roasted tomato and artichoke risotto ($26). Fiona's Bar and Grill, located next door to the Carson Valley Inn, is offering its regular dinner menu plus fresh fish specials on New Year's Eve from 4:30-9:30 p.m. New Year's Eve Sunday Brunch at Fiona's is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. New Year's reservations at Fiona's Bar and Grill can be made by calling 783-6650.
Katie's Country Kitchen is offering two specials in addition to the regular Katie's menu on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Roast tom turkey with giblet gravy, traditional herb dressing, mashed potatoes, candied yams, fresh garden vegetable medley and cranberry sauce will be served from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for $11.99 ($5.99 Children 10 and younger). Steak and lobster, with rice pilaf, fresh vegetables and drawn butter, will be available from 4:30-9 p.m. for $21.95. Both specials include a choice of fresh garden salad or soup of the day, bakery fresh breads and sweet butter and a dessert choice of chocolate mousse, apple pie or ice cream.
