Chamber open house; opportunity to see displays

The Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Authority will host a Holiday Open House 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395 in Gardnerville. The museum will be open during the festivities. Food and beverage will be served.

"With membership at an all-time high and continued growth in membership benefits and services, 2006 has been a wonderful year for both our chamber and visitors authority businesses. This open house represents a small token of our appreciation for all the community support we continue to receive." said Chamber Executive Director Skip Sayre.

The Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center exhibits and displays are in full Christmas regalia, with the Douglas County Historical Society Christmas tree and the Carson Valley Arts Council gingerbread house contests going on. Visitors can vote on their favorite tree or gingerbread house.

Chamber offices, which were relocated to the historic building in February, will be open for tours. The community is invited to attend. For information, call 782-8144.
