Elks flea market is this weekend

The Minden/Douglas Elks annual flea market is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m.

The event will be held at the lodge, located at 1276 Pit Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos.

"The flea market grows each year - thanks to the donations and support of the community," said Jim Roy, this year's chairman. "People come from Carson City and all over the Carson Valley to shop for the many treasures that have been donated. Because of the growth and attendance, we are expanding it to two days this year. So plan to come and browse. We are quite sure that you will not go home empty handed."

All of the proceeds from the flea market are used to help with the many Elks programs which benefit the community.
