Comstock Cowboys play at two events



David John and the Comstock Cowboys will perform at two events this weekend:

n Families for Effective Autism Treatment of the Carson Valley is offering a FEAT Benefit Weekend, which includes a charity dinner event and a golf tournament.


An Evening on the Comstock, an Autism Benefit for Children, will feature David John and the Comstock Cowboys, 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo Creek Ranch, 319 Jones Lane in Gardnerville. In addition to the concert by the Comstock Cowboys, the event includes a charity dinner and a silent auction.


Tickets are $75, and can be purchased at Down on the Farm in Gardnerville, Glen Eagles in Carson City or La Ferme in Genoa. This is an adult event, no children please. Dress in casual attire.

Tee off to benefit FEAT the day before.


The first annual Buffalo Creek Invitational Golf Tournament will be held at Genoa Lakes Golf Course in Genoa on Aug. 4. Tickets to play in the golf tournament are sold out, but if you would like to sponsor this event, contact David Semas at dms@buffalocreekranchnv.com.

n Get out your boots and help the Family Support Council of Douglas County "boot out" domestic violence at a Western Shindig on Sunday.


There will be music by David John and the Comstock Cowboys from 3-8 p.m. at the Valley View Ranch at 1701 Pinenut Road. A barbecue is included in the price of the tickets, which are $40 for adults and $15 for younger than 12 (younger than 6 are free) and dessert donated by Sweetie Pies will be available. There will be a no-host bar, horseshoes and an old western town. All proceeds will help to continue the programs provided by Family Support Council free of charge to families in Douglas County.
