Gutter installer: product helps protect homes

Rain Tech Raingutters owner D. Conor DeWitt said houses in the desert benefit by having rain gutters installed.

"When it rains here, it pours," said David DeWitt. "Because our soil has a lot of clay in it, the water just sits on top. You need rain gutters to get it away from the house foundation. They protect the concrete, siding and walkways around your house."

DeWitt has five years' experience installing rain gutters and specializes in seamless custom corners. He said seamless corners are a superior feature on the rain gutters he installs.

"There are fewer chances for leaking and it looks better as well," said DeWitt.

The crew at Rain Tech Raingutters has experience working with aluminum, as well as copper and steel. Custom jobs in copper are their specialty.

DeWitt said that installing rain gutters is an easy thing for homeowners to do to solve problems down the line.

"Putting up rain gutters is one of the cheapest subcontracting things to do to protect your house," DeWitt said.
