Leads sought in north Valley graffiti case

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for any information leading to the arrest of persons responsible for anti-capitalist graffiti at Carson Valley Plaza.

The incident occurred late Saturday or early Sunday.

Members of the Northern Nevadan Allagchrist Stencil Brigade or NNASB took responsibility for the incident, which targeted Famous Footwear and Bank of America.

Graffiti is a misdemeanor and those found guilty are subject to incarceration in the county jail for not more than six months and/or a fine, not to exceed $1,000.

Civil penalties may further be imposed for the cost of replacement or repair of the damaged property.

Cost estimates for this incident have not been calculated.

Douglas County Secret Witness is offering a reward of up to $250 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
