Louise Eddy

A memorial service for Louise Eddy, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, will be at noon Saturday at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Carson City.

Mrs. Eddy died Jan. 24, 2004, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 29, 1926, in Richmond, Kan., to William and Jeanette Selfridge Jent.

She attended West Linn High School in West Linn, Ore., where she was a cheerleader.

She attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Bellvue, Wash.

Mrs. Eddy was a homemaker. She was an avid reader and member of the Dickensian Society and Great Books. She was actively involved in youth ice hockey and she loved to travel. During her life she lived in nine different states. She loved bird watching and collecting rocks.

Among her survivors are her husband of 56 years, Keith; son and daughter-in-law Keith Jr. and Bridget of Brick, N.J.; daughters and sons-in-law Martha and Scott Jentz of Littleton, Colo., Melissa and Matthew Quilty of New Hope, Penn., and daughter, Sydney Brewster of Salem, Ore.; sisters Mildred McCammon of Vancouver, Wash., and Marjorie McChaelis of Odessa, Texas; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
