It is being sponsored by Jake's of Tahoe City, Calif.
Prizes will awarded based on the weight of the fish.
The largest Mackinaw trout will win $1,000, the largest German brown wins $500 and the largest rainbow gets $250.
The registration fee is $45 and it includes a T-shirt and buffet lunch at Jake's.
All derby proceeds will go to the Lisa Valenzuela Memorial Scholarship Fund.
