Obituary B. Klett Nunnink

A Mass of Christian burial for B. Klett Nunnink, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Abraham as the celebrant.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Walton's.

Mrs. Nunnink died Jan. 19, 2003, in LaVeta Healthcare Center in Orange, Calif. She was born Dec. 13, 1917, in Stanley, Kan., to LeRoy Mitchell and Maude Livingston Klett. She was raised by her grandparents.

She married Charles Phillip Nunnink in Merriam, Kan. Oct. 14, 1934.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Southern California for 41 years.

Mrs. Nunnink was a homemaker and a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993 and daughter Charlene Lundell in 1981 in Fresno, Calif.

Among her survivors are: daughters Thelma Tavera of Orange, Calif., and Barbara Custy of Bound Brook, N.J.; son Charles Phillip; sister Thelma Perry of Carson City; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Entombment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missionaries of Charity, 335 E. 145th St., Bronx, NY 10451.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
