The Carson High boys and girls ski teams were able to win by narrow margins in their season openers on Wednesday against Manogue.
In a slalom event, Carson's girls were able to edge Manogue 78-77 while the CHS boys held off Manogue 80-74. Chelsea Anderson led the Carson girls by finishing second. Other top finishers for Carson were:
Rachel Strull, third; Janine Kobler, fourth; Catarina Farrow, eighth; and Haley Zook, 10th.
For the Carson boys, Danny Rotter took second, Bret Anderson placed third, Robbie Gionni took fifth, Vance Harper placed seventh and Josh Greenspan took eighth.
Carson will next bee in action at 1 p.m. Tuesday against Reed at Slide Mountain.
