A funeral for Louise J. Tipton, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 16 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Tipton died Dec. 30, 2002. She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Corsica, S.D., to Fred and Dirkie Oestereich
She spent most of her married life in Cheyenne, Wyo., where she owned a beauty salon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Tipton Jr.; son Maurice Scott and granddaughter Jennifer.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sharron of Burbank, Calif.; daughter, Charlene Copeland of Morgantown, W.Va.; brothers Orlyn Oestereich of Boonsboro, Md., Russell Oestereich of Sun City, Kan., Maurice Oestereich of Cheyenne and Normand Oestereich of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren Sherry, Lanny and Kelly Tipton, Michael Copeland and Barbara Watkins; and great-grandchildren Sarah Watkins, Tyler Copeland and Patric Tipton.
Inurnment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Cheyenne.
