A memorial service for Gary Lee Lyons, 49, a Carson City resident for the past six years, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Smith Valley Baptist Church, Highway 208, at Hudson Way in Smith.
Mr. Lyons died Aug. 8, 2002, at his home. He was born July 15, 1953, in San Gabriel, Calif., to Rolland and Della Lyons.
He attended schools in California, attended El Monte High School and moved to Carson City his senior year where he graduated from Carson High School. He attended college in Colorado.
Before returning to Carson City, he lived in Colorado for 20 years.
Among his survivors are his parents of Smith Valley; daughters Marie Elizabeth Lyons of Golden, Colo., and Christina Michelle Lyons of Carson City; granddaughter Gabril Adrian and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington is in charge of arrangements.
