The Carson City Chapter of the Retired Officers Association will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Ormsby House Hotel/Casino.
Guest speaker is former Lt. Gov. Bob Cashell. Prizes will be awarded to the three area winners of the worldwide contest of "Letters to the Front," sponsored by Rector Roberts Productions of Atlanta, Ga.
Local winners are Erica Arbour of Carson City, under-12 division; Jessica Rudden of Fallon, 13-18 division, and Adam Starr of Fallon, in the 19 and older division.
A social hour precedes the dinner. All retired officers from all branches of the military are welcome.Call 883-3141.
