Obituary: Michael S. Chalfant

Michael S. Chalfant, 40, a Marina, Calif., resident died Oct. 29, 1999, in an auto accident in Pebble Beach, Calif. He was born Jan. 30, 1959, in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

He had lived in Monterey County 28 years.

Mr. Chalfant worked in the beverage business for 26 years including the Liquor Barn in Pacific Grove and for the past eight years, he was the wine and spirits manager for The Inn at Spanish Bay. He was a member of Monterey Lodge F&AM.

Among his survivors are his wife, Christine Schamber and daughters, Ashley Maria and Hope Elizabeth Chalfant, all of Marina; brother, Lerry D. Jr., of Carson City; sisters, Teresa Adams of Georgetown, Texas and Denise S. Davenport, of Walnut Creek, Calif. and parents, Lerry and Hermina Chalfant of Carson City.

Funeral services were held in Pacific Grove and burial was at the El Encinal Cemetery.
