Century 21 Clark Properities moves into new building

The workers are still crawling on the green metal rooftop, finishing details on the $2.5 million Minden building, but that didn't stop the Century 21 Clark Properties staff from moving into their new digs last weekend.

"It's great, isn't it?" said Century 21 co-owner/manager, Rob Wigton. "We're going to be able to offer so much more service to our customers here."

The opening of a building to house a real estate company isn't necessarily big news, but the concept of this 18,000 square-foot, three-story building as a unique real estate mall is.

Century 21 Clark Properties is owned by Patty Clark, Wigton and Shele Pandl - the latter two becoming partners in July 1998.

"When Shele and I joined up with Patty, we put our heads together and came up with this concept," Wigton said. "We looked around to other cities and didn't see anything exactly like this, but this is what we came up with - a real estate mall. Our motto is, 'Everything under one roof.'"

Inside the mall, the 8,500 square-foot first floor will be occupied by Century 21 Clark Properties, with five executive offices and seven top producer offices circling the main desks that house the 35 sales agents and additional staff.

Later in the month, a coffee cart run by the nearby Friendz Coffee House will be right inside the entrance to the building, Wigton said.

The second floor will house several real estate-related businesses, Wigton said, including Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, First American Title Co. of Nevada, Farmer's Insurance, Property Management at the Mall, Kirka Construction, Linda Turria, CPA-PC, Attorney Hampton M. Young Jr. and the Computer Zone.

"We've worked with these companies over the years," Wigton said. "We had no trouble finding tenants for these offices - in fact, we could have filled it two times over."

The third floor will be dedicated to a large exercise room for mall tenants and clients, an executive retreat for meetings and gatherings and an open patio with a spectacular view of Job's Peak.

Wigton said all the businesses at the real estate mall will all be networked.

The architect for the project was George Szabo and construction was by M.C. Neuffer, who said his company will be done with their end of the collaboration soon.

Century 21 Clark Properties is now at 1674 Highway 395 in Minden. The official grand opening for the building will be Memorial Day weekend the end of this month. Call 782-7111.
