Parking lot sale to benefit Austin's House

A fundraising event to benefit Austin's House will be held 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 15 in the parking lot of the Real Estate Mall at 1674 Highway 395 in Minden.

Century 21 Clark Properties will be selling used furniture, appliances, tools, books, large and small workable items. Along with the sale, there will be baked goods, hot dogs, a margarita machine, a dunk tank plus a raffle. K-Bull Radio will have a live remote at the event.

Austin's House, named in memory of 15-year-old Austin Kirby, is a group foster home that will provide services and care for up to 10 children at any one time.

The children will come from Child Protective Services, referrals from the courts, homeless children and children who are in need of shelter. Currently, children in the area are transported as far as Elko. Austin's House will be located in Douglas County.

With the support of the community, Century 21 is hoping to make this a wonderful event.

Donated goods - saleable items - can be dropped off at Century 21 Clark Properties on July 14, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Please NO clothing or dishes.)

If you have items to donate but are unable to drop off on July 14, contact Jeanne, Bev or Eileen at Century 21 Clark Properties, 782-7111 to make other arrangements.
