GARDNERVILLE - Carson Valley's American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) will host its 10th annual John Warner Memorial Soccerfest this Saturday and Sunday at Lampe Park.
Boys and girls currently registered with AYSO from the under-8 through under-14 age group divisions are eligible to participate in the event, which traditionally draws players from around the Northern Nevada area and from as far away as Bishop, Calif.
Participants are randomly placed on co-ed teams which play a minimum of four games during the weekend. Games start Saturday at 9 a.m.
Special events such as goalie wars and skills competion will be held, plus a family barbecue and swim party will be held on Saturday.
Soccerfest serves a fund-raiser for Carson Valley AYSO. For more information, call 782-6952.
