A fishing derby will be held at Walker Lake on Nov. 4.
The one-day derby is being jointly sponsored by the El Capitan Resort and Casino of Hawthorne and the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce.
The registration fee is $30 for adults and $10 for youths.
There is a first place prize for adults of $1,500 for the heaviest fish, $750 for second place and $500 for third place.
First place for youths is a $100 Gift Certificate.
There will be a $200 bonus for the heaviest fish for women.
Derby hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
