Nelda E. Lauricella, 82, a Gardnerville resident for the past 25 years, died Dec. 9, 2000 at Barton Skilled Nursing at Virginia Creek in Gardnerville. She was born Feb. 26, 1918, in Sparks to Charles and Elizebeth Fleury Berthold.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Whittier, Calif.
Mrs. Lauricella was a homemaker. She loved her family and she was an avid angler. She was a Presbyterian.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph D. in 1982 in California and sister Bess.
Among her survivors are her daughters Marie E. Rau of Gardnerville and Jean L. Witt of Minden; grandson Wesley K. Rau of Gardnerville and great-granddaughter Nicole M. Rau of Gardnerville.
A private service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
