Kit Carson Shoot-out

Carson City teams won championship in five of seven age categories this past weekend during Kit Carson Soccer Shootout 2000 at Edmonds Sports Complex.


Carson City American Youth Soccer Organization just completed hosting the Kit Carson Soccer Shootout 2000. in this most successful tournament.


Carson City Red captured the co-ed 16-and-under division title, Carson City Fire won the boys under-14 division, Carson City United the boys under-12 division, Carson City Lightning the firls under-12 division and Carson City Blizzard the girls under-10 division.


In the remaining two divisions, Carson Valley Tigress.com won the girls under-14 championship and Bishop, Calif., emerged as the winner of the boys under-10 bracket.


Teams representing Carson City, South Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Incline, North Lake Tahoe, Carson Valley, Bishop, Mammoth and Sparks played in the tournament. In all, there were 84 teams, 1,188 players and hundreds of local volunteers involved with the tournament.
