Genoa, Nev. — Agreements with the two East Fork Professional Firefighters associations go before the East Fork Fire Protection District Board 1 p.m. today. The board meets at the district offices, 1694 County Road, across from Station 14 in Minden.

Two people were transported for treatment after what was reported as a head-on collision 3:10 p.m. Monday between two pickups at Foothill Road and Mottsville Lane at the base of Kingsbury.
It’s going to warm up ahead of a front that could bring the overnight low down to 36 degrees by early Sunday morning. I’m anticipating at least a fire weather watch for Thursday as the winds begin to pick up.
The mercury is going to start climbing today, with a forecast high of 91 degrees and the wind out of the west at 5 mph. Wednesday’s high temperature is going to head up to 97 degrees in Minden, meaning there may be spots in Carson Valley that crack the century mark.
