Dangberg Home Ranch hosts Ag Day today

A score of children and parents attended the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park's Agricultural Heritage Day on Tuesday morning.

Craft activities and a scavenger hunt will add to the fun. This event is free for all to attend. Visitors should bring their own seating.
During all events, no pets are allowed - certified service animals only. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Guests are welcome to bring snacks and beverages, as no food or beverages will be sold at these events. All events are held outdoors. "Women Who Changed Their World" continues with a Chautauqua of Anna May Wong - First Chinese American film star in Hollywood, as portrayed by Bowen Lee 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Lee has been on the stage of national and international storytelling events, conducts workshops for educators, and performs virtually with national, international, and regional programs. She has won numerous national story slams and been a National Storytelling Network Grand Slam winner. She is a Chautauqua scholar who has performed Asian women of history, including Junko Tabei and Bowen's great grandmother, who was born and raised in the Chinese fishing village of Monterey.
Wednesday evening Chautauqua ticket prices are $15 for 17 years and older. Youth 16 years and younger are free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased at the event. Please arrive no earlier than 5:30pm.
The Old West Trio returns to the park to play songs of the cowboy: three voices, two guitars, and a stand-up bass bring Western harmonies 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

On June 21, author and historian Mark McLaughlin returns to the park to present "True Tales From Tahoe" introducing his latest compendium of Tales From The Tahoe Sierra. This event is free for all to attend.
"The week of June 17 offers a complete variety of entertainment and history appealing to just about anyone, from youth to adults," said Events and Education Manager Kim Harris.
