Five Douglas High School Metalworking students recently took an American Welding Society Weld Qualification Seminar at Reed High School. This two day, 16 hour seminar, sponsored by Western Nevada College provided 15 high school students from Fallon, Fernley, Douglas an opportunity to practice and test for AWS welding certifications. All Douglas students excelled during the seminar with 4 of the 5 receiving their first welding certification.

“We appreciate the Reed High School Metalworking for hosting and WNC for sponsoring this great event,” said Douglas High School welding teacher Scott McDonald. “We look forward to more Douglas Metalworking and Welding students taking advantage of this great opportunity.”
