Public Hearing

A meeting of the Douglas County Planning Commission will be held on

October 10, 2023, at 1:00 pm, in the Douglas County Commissioner

Meeting Room at the Historic Courthouse, 1616 Eighth Street, Minden.

The Planning Commission reserves the right to: take items in a different

order; combine two or more agenda items for consideration; remove

items from the agenda; and/or delay discussions relating to an item on

the agenda at any time.

For possible action. Discussion on the following requests: Planned

Development (PD)/Tentative Subdivision Map (TSM) Application DP22-

0207, requesting to (a) establish a PD Overlay Zone for an 80-acre single

family residential subdivision site, and (b) to subdivide 80 acres into

80 single family residential lots, the smallest being 21,780 square feet

with five common open space parcels. The subject property is located

on the west side of Vicky Lane, north of North Santa Barbara Drive in

the SFR-1 zoning district within the Johnson Lane Community Plan. The

property owner is Bently Family Limited Partnership, represented by

Keith Ruben, R.O. Anderson Engineering.

For possible action. Discussion to approve the extinguishment of a

Grant and Conservation Easement, recorded in the Douglas County

Recorder’s Office as document number 0708547, which currently burdens

8.74 acres of open space and flood plain within Lot 1 of the Spring

Creek Subdivision (APN: 1220-02-001-031). The holder of the Grant of

Conservation Easement is Douglas County. The request to extinguish

the Grant and Conservation Easement is made in conjunction with the

County’s efforts to purchase the burdened property for the construction

of a flood detention basin.
