A noontime head-on collision closed Centerville Lane at Waterloo on Monday.

Two sedans collided in the southbound lanes just north of Lutheran Bridge on the main route between Gardnerville and the Gardnerville Ranchos.

Traffic was diverted down Waterloo Lane toward Highway 395. One driver was taken to Carson Valley Health by East Fork ambulance as Douglas County deputies closed the road. The other driver refused treatment.

The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol was called to investigate the collision.

It’s the second serious collision near Waterloo Lane in three days.

A T-bone collision occurred at Main Street and Waterloo, knocking one vehicle on its side around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Further into town, there was a rear-end collision on Highway 395 west of the intersection with Gilman 5 p.m. Friday in which someone who stopped for a pedestrian was rear-ended. The vehicle missed the pedestrian.
