Lions Club selling See’s Candy

The Carson Valley Lions Club is selling See’s Candy, including peanut brittle, assorted milk and dark chocolates, nuts and chews, truffles, and soft centers during their annual sale.

Prices range from $10 to $55, and Visa or MasterCard are accepted.

The Lions are selling out of their trailer in the Frontier parking lot, 1520 Church St. in Minden.

Hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. every day through Dec. 24, or until they run out.

“All profits stay here and support the many programs like

Project Santa, Carson Valley Food Closet, Children Cancer Foundation, three summer youth camps, Kids Back to School Shopping, eye care and glasses, flag program in all elementary schools, Douglas High School’s Safe Grad Night, the Douglas County Historical Society, Kids and Horses, two college scholarships, student speakers contest, Welcome All Veterans Everywhere, Austin’s House and Meals on Wheels,” according to Lion Ron Santi.

Lions meet 5:30 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month at Cook’d, 1644 Hwy 395 in Minden.
