Genoa, Nev. — One person was taken to Carson Valley Health for treatment from what was initially reported as a rear-end collision at Highway 88 and Mottsville Lane around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.
The biggest Halloween prank I heard over the scanner last night was someone in a car driving through Stateline launching broadsides of eggs as they headed into California.

Genoans will be discussing the process to select a new town manager and seeking administration of the Genoa Historic District Commission, in addition to supporting the commission’s denial of a cell phone tower behind the Genoa Fire Station. The Town Board meets 5:30 p.m. today in the Town Hall.
There’s been some discussion about Minden suspending trash service in the alleyways. The policy revision being presented to the board at tonight’s meeting includes the phrase, “Curbside carts must be placed on the street in order to be collected.” The board meets 5:30 p.m. at the CVIC Hall.
It's going to be a warmish Dia De Los Muertos today, with the high forecast to hit 70 degrees with the north wind at 5 mph this afternoon. Thursday should be the top of the temperature rollercoaster with a high of 72 degrees. There’s rain predicted for Saturday.
