Genoa, Nev. — There were around 120 vehicles at Saturday’s Send a Boy Scout to Camp car show at Lampe Park. That’s not bad when there was competition from the Karson Kruzers’ “Run What Cha Brung” show in Carson City.

The eastern entrance to Yosemite is open at Tioga Pass, though there isn’t drinking water or services, according to the park website. Delays and sections of Highway 120 will be down to one lane.

Tahoe Douglas medics responded to a heat-related call over the weekend for a woman with heat stroke up at Round Hill Pines at Lake Tahoe. Be careful out there and keep downing fluids if you’re out during the day.

A fire weather watch and lake wind advisory is in effect starting noon through 10 p.m. today. If you’ve got work to do outside, do it early and stay clear of drier vegetation.

High cloudiness kept the heat in overnight with Minden-Tahoe Airport dropping down to 63 degrees before starting to climb again toward the forecast high of 92 degrees. The wind is forecast to pick up around 11 a.m. with gusty winds up to 25-31 mph by noon.
