Wine lovers with a hankering to go on safari and a couple of grand to spend might want to check out Kiwanis’ third annual Spring into Wine event at the Genoa Lakes Country Club on April 22.

A six-night South Africa photo safari for two with luxury accommodations and daily meals valued at $5,950 is the grand silent auction items with opening bids of $2,600.

Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley is hosting the event, 5:30-8 p.m. Cost is $70 per person for the gen-eral admission wine event. A VIP pre-event from 4:30-5:30 p.m. includes premium wine and spirits tastings. Cost is $90 per person for both events. Co-Sponsored by Raley’s Gardnerville and Breakthru Beverage of Reno. Attendees must be 21 years of age to attend. Live classical violin and bass music will be performed by Dave & Cecilia.

Besides featuring upscale wines and spirits there will appetizers and desserts, a silent auction and mystery bag of wine raffle and much more are being offered.
