Fiddler-cellist duo perform at CVIC Hall on April 14

Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser and cellist Natalie Haas are performing April 14 at the CVIC Hall in Minden as part of the Carson Valley Arts Council concert series.

The duo perform a full spectrum of music from intimate chamber music and ecstatic dance energy.

Fraser has a concert and recording career spanning over 30 years, with a long list of awards, accolades, radio and television credits, and feature performances on top movie soundtracks, including “Last of the Mohicans,” and “Titanic.” In 2011, he was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame.

Haas, a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, has performed and recorded with Mark O'Connor, Natalie MacMaster, Irish super groups So-las and Altan, Liz Carroll, Dirk Powell, Brittany Haas, Darol Anger, Jeremy Kittel, Hanneke Cassel, Laura Cortese, and many more.

Tickets are $20 members, $24 general audience, and kids under 18 are free with a paid adult ticket.
