Chamber hosts Oct. 6 job fair

The Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a Fall Job Fair & Career Expo 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at the CVIC Hall, 1604 Esmeralda Ave., in Minden. The Chamber hosts this event semi-annually with an average of 30 businesses from the Carson Valley area participating. Continuum Packing Solutions and JOIN, Inc. are the event’s presenting sponsors.

Participating Fall Job Fair employers and resources include: Bently Nevada a Baker Hughes business, Carson Tahoe Health, Carson Valley Medical Center, Continuum Packing Solutions, Douglas County (multiple departments), JOIN, Inc., Maxton Manufacturing, State of Nevada (multiple departments), and many more. “We are pleased to create opportunities to connect our businesses with new employees”, says Alicia Main, Executive Director of the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce. “Participating businesses will find a relaxed and comfortable environment to showcase their employment opportunities to prospective new hires. Job seekers will find an array of quality employment opportunities in one location, with businesses eager to gain new team members.”

As of Thursday, space for participating businesses is sold out. Interested businesses can be added to the wait list by visiting carsonvalleynv.org/jobfair or calling 775-782-8144. This event is free for job seekers. While no prior registration is required, job seekers are expected to attend in professional attire with properly prepared resumes.

The Fall Job Fair & Career Expo is organized by Staff and Ambassadors from the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce.
