Dixie crew members rescue jet skiers from Lake Tahoe.

Two jet skiers who were tipped into Lake Tahoe last week were rescued by MS Dixie II crew members.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on June 16, the pair fell of a jet ski and were unable to get back onto the jet ski before it started to drift away from them, according to a Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District rescue report.

The Dixie’s crew saw them bobbing in the water and the captain and crew members pulled them from the water.

According to a passenger on the Dixie that day, they were in the water for 45 minutes before being rescued.

According to the district, medics met the Dixie at the dock and immediately started warming the two, who were showing signs of hypothermia.

Passengers of the Dixie cheered as the survivors were taken off the boat.
