Genoa, Nev. — A wrong-way driver in the Gardnerville Ranchos was the subject of multiple 911 calls around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, including one motorist who was able to keep the vehicle in sight long enough for deputies to conduct a traffic stop near Edna Drive and Centerville Lane.

Most of Nevada’s counties posted additional election results from paper ballots on Tuesday, including Carson City, Churchill, Clark, Elko, Humboldt, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey and Washoe counties. I expect we’ll see final results today in time for Friday’s 4 p.m. canvass vote by commissioners.

Two tier 3 vacation home rental permits are being sought at the VHR Advisory Board, which is meeting 1 p.m. at the Tahoe-Douglas Fire Protection District offices at 193 Elks Point Road in Zephyr Cove. More interesting may be the question-and-answer session with deputies and code enforcement officers. You can watch at www.youtube.com/watch?v=puvnibkGQnk

The sky’s pretty clear this morning, but it may cloud up as the day progresses as some monsoonal moisture could be headed this way. The high temperature is forecast to hit 89 degrees with the wind out of the west this afternoon at 5-10 mph, gusting to 20 mph.
