Art Association hosts show Carson Valley Days weekend

Carson Valley Art Association’s judged art show opens Friday at the CVIC Hall, 1502 Esmeralda Ave. in Minden.

All artists are invited to enter their paintings and 3-D art in the annual Carson Valley Days Art Show.

The show coincides with the annual Carson Valley Days celebration.

This year, this show will be judged, and we will be giving out ribbons and cash awards. The categories are watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media, photography and other.

Entry day is on 10-4 p.m. Thursday at the CVIC Hall, 1502 Esmeralda, Minden.

Members: $8 per entry; Nonmembers: $15 per entry; High School students $5 per entry.

Three entries per artist. Art must be framed, or gallery wrapped and wired to be hung. No saw-tooth hangers, uni-frames, crafts, jewelry or copies of published works.

Accepted work hung in the show must be picked up on 3-4 p.m. June 12.

Pick up guidelines and entry forms at GadZooks Gallery, Heartstrings, Lone Tree Framing, Custom Framing, East Fork Gallery or Nevada Art Association in Carson City.
