Genoa, Nev. — An 8-foot culvert has been placed in the trench on Highway 89 and CalTrans workers are backfilling. They expect to be done by Monday, reopening the road between Markleeville and Woodfords that’s been closed since the Millberry Creek washout on Aug. 3.

The chance of storms in Minden dropped a little bit for today as the last nights clouds clear out this morning. Once the temperatures start to go up, so will the cloud tops. Expect a possibility of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. and before 2 a.m. Thursday.
