Previous story

No one took an ambulance ride as the result of a vehicle collision that briefly closed Highway 50 south of Lake Ridge around 11 a.m. Friday.

Tahoe-Douglas firefighters and medics responded to the collision in the northbound lanes of the highway.

One of the vehicles was smoking when firefighters arrived, and a trailer was on its side after a pickup was struck from the side.

The road was closed for about 20 minutes before authorities opened a lane going in both directions.

Motorists may experience some delays in that vicinity.
