Carson Valley Sertoma donated three Portable InfoLoops to the Washoe Tribal Health Center and Carson Tahoe Health on May 11 and 12.

Club members donated the money to purchase the hearing devices in recognition of Better Hearing and Speech Month.

The national Sertoma organization invited clubs across the country to raise money to purchase one the devices to donate to a local hospital or one of the hospital’s associated clinics.

The system amplifies sound in a certain area for people who use hearing aids.

A total of 42 Sertoma clubs from all over the country are donating over 120 Portable InfoLoops to bring awareness for people who are hard of hearing and rely on devices like these to assist in communication interactions.
