Douglas expands Tahoe services

The new year will bring additional services to Douglas County’s Lake Tahoe offices.

Vehicle registration renewals are returning to the Tahoe General Services Office in Stateline, which means Douglas residents can drop off their renewals at the Douglas County Courthouse.

And the Douglas County Public Library is extending hours at the Zephyr Cove Branch starting Jan. 4. The branch will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Curbside service will continue to be available on days the library is open. Lake Tahoe Branch is located at 233 Warrior Way.

The public will again be able to drop off vehicle registration renewals with payment at the Minden Clerk’s Office or Treasurer’s Office located in the Historic Courthouse at 1616 8th Street or at the Tahoe General Services outside drop box in Stateline.

Vehicle registration renewal processing is by drop-off only and not by appointment. The vehicle registration renewal will be processed by the Tahoe General Services Office and then mailed out.

At this time all other services at Tahoe General Services will continue to be by appointment only, there will not be walk-in services provided.

For additional questions reach out to Tahoe General Services at 775-586-7226.
